Redefine Properties recognised for top-ranked integrated report at this year’s EY Awards

Redefine Properties’ integrated report has been ranked first among listed peers at the 2026 EY Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards, marking a significant recognition of the company’s commitment to clear, transparent, and stakeholder-focused reporting.

The EY Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards assess the integrated reports of the top 100 JSE-listed companies by market capitalisation, recognising those that communicate their value-creation story clearly and transparently to the stakeholders who rely on it.

This recognition also marks the 12th consecutive year that Redefine has been ranked among South Africa’s most transparent listed companies.

Redefine Properties Chief Executive Officer Andrew König says the achievement reflects the company’s sustained focus on reporting trade-off considerations in a transparent, disciplined, and meaningful way. “Twelve consecutive years of recognition reflect the consistency and rigour with which Redefine approaches integrated reporting, which is embedded in the way we do business. It is an important measure of the trust we aim to build with our stakeholders through clear, balanced, and transparent communication.”

For Redefine, the integrated report is more than a compliance requirement. It is an important accountability tool that helps stakeholders understand how the business creates, preserves, and protects value over time. “Our stakeholders rely on credible information to assess the business, its performance, its impact, and its prospects. An effective integrated report must therefore provide a balanced picture of where we are, what we are prioritising and how we are positioning the business for the future,” König adds.

This year’s integrated report provides insight into Redefine’s financial performance, environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities, strategic progress and the outcomes the company is working to deliver for the people and communities connected to its properties.

König says the ranking affirms Redefine’s commitment to reporting that supports informed decision-making and reinforces confidence in the business.

“This recognition reflects the collective effort of every Redefiner who contributes to the report each year, as well as the discipline and accountability that our stakeholders expect from us. We are proud of this achievement and remain committed to reporting that is useful, credible, and transparent.”

Estienne de Klerk is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 25 years’ experience in the listed property sector. Joanne Solomon holds a BCom in Economics and is a seasoned marketer with 22 years’ experience. She has an established history in the financial services industry, working in one of the largest financial institutions in South Africa. Romy holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa. She came in the top 10 with her postgraduate diploma in Accounting from the University of the Western Cape. Romy is a registered Chartered Accountant and is awaiting her Registered Auditor accreditation from  The Independent Regulating Board of Auditors.

His focus was primarily on portfolio performance management and driving operational efficiencies.

Itu holds a BCom in Accounting & Management, an MCom in Financial Management and an MPhil in International Business. With 15 years of experience in real estate investment, five at the executive level, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. Outside his professional commitments, Itu is dedicated to sustainable business practices and community involvement, notably with the Eluxolweni Children’s Shelter.
