The SA REIT Association is a common-law association (or body) of like-minded parties. It is not registered with any regulatory authority. Accordingly, it has no registration number and no ‘certificate of incorporation’.
It also has neither Directors nor shareholders, only the REIT entities who are its members and governed exclusively by South African Common Law. The Association’s constitution is proof of its existence.
Due to this, the SA REIT Association is not assessed for BEE purposes.
